Vote for the Nation's Favourite Experiment
National Science and Engineering Week Logo

At the BA (British Association for the Advancement of Science), we’re committed to the importance of practical science, so as part of National Science and Engineering Week, we asked people to vote for their favourite experiment.

We filmed a selection of popular, eye-catching experiments that you might come across at home, school or on TV and asked people to take a quick look at the short clips and vote online. At the end of National Science and Engineering Week, we randomly selected Aimee Sawyer as our winner, who received an Xbox 360, courtesy of our prize sponsor, ETB (The Engineering and Technology Board)

After totalling up we can reveal that Fizz Fizz Bang Bang is The Nation's Favourite Experiment with a massive 28% share of the votes

Important Safety Information
These experiments are filmed demonstrations and have been risk-assessed for that purpose by experienced individuals. This means that the potential risks have been assessed for this particular situation and appropriate precautions taken. The experiments involving liquid nitrogen and flames should not be attempted at home or school without carrying out a full assessment of the risks involved.
